The session will run on babe's schedule. I have a white noise machine on hand to help babe fall and stay asleep. Some photos are done with babe unclothed, but if your babe is fussing I will mainly use wraps to keep them comforted and to ensure we get some precious shots. You can expect to have to change and feed babe at least once during the session; induce the milk coma, I like to say. A baby with a full tummy is a sleepy, and generally, a happy baby.  The best time to book is at the beginning of your third trimester. I will pencil you in for your due date so I know to expect your babe will be coming soon (or later). After babe arrives, we ideally schedule your session within 6-10 days, but it can absolutely take place anytime during the first several weeks of babes arrival. This timeframe is ideal for sleepy and flexible babies; older babies tend to be more awake and active but can still be photographed! I will bring my lights and posing equipment right to your home. I find I have the most success in keeping babe happy and sleepy when they are surrounded by familiar smells and sounds. The last thing you'll want to do is load up and sit in my studio for 3 hours! The 3 hour timeframe is based entirely on babes sleep patterns. Babies that sleep through their entire session can be finished in as little as 2 hours, however this is extremely rare. The extra time allows for changes, feeds, and any other disturbances.
